THE ROLE

​

This role is not a typical salary paid 9 to 5 job, instead, this role required knowledge, persistence, and patience to create your 'dynamic' monthly income. A Unit Trust Consultant (UTC) could be one full-time job or a part-time job. It depends on the individual. The role will require one to face success and failure frequently (most of the time failure).

 

Patience will be the most essential soft skill required to turn 'no' into 'yes' - failure into success, and the cycle will be repeated again and again. In summary income for a Unit Trust Consultant is like a blank cheque or carte blanche with an amount unspecified. At the end of the month, you write your own figure and we will provide support in terms of training, knowledge, and experience sharing from time to time. So, if you have patience, robust, and are willing to learn new things, then you may be one of the candidate that we're looking for.

THE PRODUCT

​

Unit trust or mutual fund is not you 'sell A you get A' type of product. The product is very dynamic and promising 'moon & stars' to a client is NOT RECOMMENDED and a BIG NO.

 

Nevertheless, our team has discover and develop a combination of technique, tactic and strategy on how to develop a financial road map for a client, mitigate their risks subsequently cater to their needs. Please bear in mind, in order for UTC to strike a deal, it is a repetitive process and numbers game but we will train you to be smart and knowledgeable about the products / funds.

OUR PHILOSOPHY & DNA

​

Even though this role is a commission based with unlimited income, but working as a unit trust consultant will not guarantee one to earn monthly lucrative income and promise substantial wealth. Nevertheless, with our 'repetitive sales cycle methodology' this role is possible to achieve decent income that is better than current market minimum salary out there. 

​

We aim to strive to train our bespoke strategist not to have a sales oriented mindset as we want them to become a client oriented and emphasize a solution driven marketing philosophy. Hence we will avoid to give a mislead information or promotion, exaggerate promising of ROI, and below ‘moon & stars’ style of pitching and mindsets to both our agent and investor:

  • ‘Get-rich-scheme’ pitch.

  • Churning pitch.

  • ‘This-fund-will-go-up’ pitch.

  • Dividend pitch.

  • Lavish and extravagant lifestyle mindset and mislead flashing in social media.

  • Fancy car, fancy house, fancy shopping mindset and the list goes on and on.

However, we will not stop our agents or investor from ‘dreaming big’. We will train our agents and guide our investors to develop the financial plan to achieve their dream and work out the most suitable bespoke strategy to deliver the plan. As we said earlier, we give you a blank cheque and you decide your own income to achieve your wealth. Hence we welcome both part-time and full-time, fresh graduates or experienced working individuals that have zero or less than 1-year experience in the unit trust. We want to develop the correct mindset about unit trust as this target group will be our ideal candidates.

​ESSENTIAL INFORMATION

​

This role is a sole contributor and purely commission-based (this is not a salary-paid job). All commissions are paid on a monthly basis to your bank account.

COMPULSORY REQUIREMENT (MUST FULFILL)

​

  • Must be 21 years old or above;

  • Must obtain credits in any three (3) subjects in SPM or equivalent or academic qualification (s) higher than SPM;

  • Must be fit and proper;

  • The person must sign a statutory declaration attesting to the above attributes and must not be in breach of the signed statutory declaration at all times.

  • Must pass the Computerized Unit Trust Examination (CUTE) before being authorized to market and distribute UTS.

​​KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

  • High ethical when promoting unit trust products and possess the right principles and values.

  • Develop and deliver marketing activities both online and field work.

  • You will acquire new customers & look after existing customers regarding their investment portfolios. 

  • Attend trainings / seminars when required.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

​

  • Fresh Graduate Diploma / Degree OR,

  • Experience candidates with sales & marketing experience (inside sales / in-person sales) without any unit trust scheme experience will also be considered.

  • Self-starter with minimal supervision OR, freshies with willing-to-learn & go-getters attitude.

  • Client-oriented but not necessarily sales oriented.

  • Good communication & persuasive skills.

  • IT literate, have laptop or tab, sound email management, and proficient in MS Office (PPT, Excel, Words).

  • Must not be black-listed by a bank or bankruptcy.
